VISION vs. GOALS

World changes are now so rapid that linear goal setting may not be sustainable.  In fact, goal setting can at times disconnect you from yourself!  When you get wrapped up in THE PLAN you actually hold yourself and your business back.

Riding through waves of change, learning to go with the flow of greater creativity unfolding demands a lightly-built  framework and visionary approach, where goals become something to discover along the way while following your vision, rather than something to initially choose/set.

A visionary approach requires consistently cultivating an holistic picture (where I live, what I do, what I make, how I give back, who I spend time with) with more frequent clarifications. Otherwise your life/work may take form in reaction to exterior forces.

To be effective, your vision must be inspired from a deeper place: who you are at your essence, aligned with who you feel called to be and what you are called to do. Your vision must connect to a deeply felt desire for its fulfillment.

Starting with a vision creates a magnetic force that supports your efforts and will show you the steps that lead to its manifestation.  Your vision is magical indeed, and will create your goals for you!

Your Turn:

ASK for your highest vision; Continuously CLARIFY it;  FOCUS on its potential; and learn to LISTEN to it; ALLOW it to show you the way.  Only then can you rest assured you’ve put all that you have into obtaining that which you most desire…

Voilà Evolution!

Pace It

Trekking in the Himalayas made it easy to see how frenetic world is.  Hiking up and down mountains for weeks enabled me to quench a certain thirst and harvest the profound benefits of slowing down and gaining clarity, wisdom, and connection.

Studying somatic psychology & mastery of body-centered coaching, taught me about the power found in moving at a slower pace. I’ve collected enriching alternatives to the fragmentation created by life´s  furious pace. And now understand what it takes to integrate experiences and be able to speak and act with congruency.

BIG POWERFUL JUICY stuff! And more than ever, during these times of  accelerated transformations, those of us who are catalysts and change artists are  called to release what no longer works (foods, people, habits, jobs, busyness…) Many are changing diets, raising their standards, choosing to be a “pro” at what we do…taking ourselves/our work seriously, refusing amateur dabbling & unhealthy habits… perhaps even “Going Global” with our message.

To be  relevant and congruent, we must pace ourselves and learn to trust creative processes. In the end, it may well take the same amount of time whether we rush or not ~ we might even save time by slowing down. Yet, the choice remains: Live juicy or dry out?

YOUR TURN

Reflect on people you know who rush around yet never really arrive (rabbit vs. tortoise.)  Distinguish between what makes you busy and what really moves you forward. Dare to create empty spaces in your schedule for staying connected and congruent. Explore  insights and short cuts that bubble up.

Practice postponing immediate gratification and notice higher quality results emerging.

Explore slowing down & arriving in greater participation with an open mind & juicy heart!
